Braided Rugs

Service Description

Class participants will be instructed in the benefits of natural fibers (wool and mohair), how to braid and felt roving strands, how to sew and finish braided strand ends, how to care for their finished fiber art after use. [Note: There is insufficient time for project completion in this class. Participants will finish their projects on their own and can return for future class sessions at no charge, if desired.] Price of this class includes sufficient roving for completing a single rug and the necessary braiding, felting, and sewing equipment for the project. Participants are welcome to attend as many of these classes as they would like free of charge after payment for their first class. **Class participants are cautioned that the course will include handling of wool and mohair and therefore may not be appropriate for anyone with sensitivities to these materials.
